Terms and Conditions

  • All orders must be paid for in full prior to any work being undertaken.
  • Plate orders will be sent out within 28 days by First Class Royal Mail. Please telephone if you need to discuss an urgent delivery. Plates can be sent direct to the recipient – you will be asked if you would like to include a message on an accompanying greetings card in the online shop. (This service is free of charge).
  • Tile orders will be sent out within six weeks by Interlink Courier Services. Please telephone if you need to discuss an urgent delivery.
  • All plates are decorated with traditional majolica glazes and fired to over 1150 degrees C. This means that the design is integral to the plate and will never wash or wear off. All plates are suitable for use in a dishwasher.
  • Personalised items are non returnable (unless faulty).
  • Our pottery is handmade and decorated, so the finished product may vary in colour.
  • Personalisation will be painted by hand exactly as you enter it, so if you type JAMES in capitals for example, your piece will be decorated this way.
  • Tiles can be washed and submerged in water without the design ever rubbing or washing off. The ceramic tiles are decorated with glazes that are fired in a kiln to over 1,150 degrees C. This means that the design is integral to the tile and it is impossible for them to wear away or lose their colour. The high kiln firing also makes them suitable for use behind an Aga or Rayburn.
  • It is recommended that you use a professional tiler to install your tiles. Owing to the nature of the materials and the hand painted process, minor imperfections and colour variations are characteristic of the tiles. This adds to their unique charm.
  • Orders will be sent out within 28 days by First Class Royal Mail. Please telephone if you need to discuss an urgent delivery.
  • You should inspect the products upon receipt and check that everything specified is included. You will be deemed to have accepted the order unless you notify us upon receipt that there is a problem. If you fail to take such action, we are not obligated to accept any rejection by you of the goods at a later date.
  • Please contact us within 14 working days if you have received damaged or incorrect items in your order and we will do our best to resolve the situation as soon as possible. It is sometimes necessary to ask customers to provide a photograph of the damaged items to allow us to follow up with our couriers regarding your order. We may also require you to return your order.
  • Please remember that when we accept your submitted order for goods on this website, there will be a legally binding contract.
